| "This is setup that I used in NDR New years event. Event was 2 hours long and there was 1 mandatory pit stop to do. My strategie was exactly 100% fuel for those 2 hours (98 laps estimate) and no tires change. This meant that I had some advantage on FXO drivers who were my main competitors. After 20 mins or so, tires were up to maximum temperature, 75C all tires but RL who was 80C. Situation stayed like that for next 40 minutes. Problem at that time was that FXO's tires cooled of at 40 minutes margin and I had like 20 more minutes of hot tires to drive, so I could do nothing, they just extended the gap, but after 1hour and 15minutes in race they pitted and were doing about half a sec slower per lap then me till the end. Now server broke at 1hour and 30mintes margin so I don't know will the tires last full 2 hours, but I'm very confident they should. Then we had 26 laps race to do those half hour and I just filled something like 28% fuel and did it. Setup was totally ok for this leght too, fastest lap in begging, then slightly slower due tire temperatures. So If you have any longer race then 10 laps, I recommend you this setup, enjoy ;)" |
