Setupgrid.net - Setup Competition

Introduction

To celebrate the success of setupgrid.net and to reward the community for their support, we are hosting a free cash-giveaway for people who upload the most quality setups over a 1 month period. Unlike conventional competitions which often rule out the majority of the community, it doesn't matter whether you are fast or slow, a drifter, cruiser or a racer, everybody has an equal chance to win.

Start / end date

COMPETITION CLOSED as of July 1st 2008 at 23:59 (UTC).
Final results will be announced at an unspecified date in July/August.

Prize money

This is the cash reward structure. Only 3 people will recieve prize money.

  • 1st - £100
  • 2nd - £50
  • 3rd - £20

Points system

Users score points by uploading setups.

  • 1 point - Uploading a miscellaneous setup
  • 2 points - Uploading a hotlap setup
  • 3 points - Uploading a sprint setup
  • 4 points - Uploading an endurance setup

Bonus points

If 5 or more setups have already been uploaded to the combo, bonus points will not be scored. This is to ensure quality over quantity.

  • +1 point - If detailed comments are added.
  • +1 point - If a best lap time is added.
  • +1 point - If the setup is uploaded to a combo with existing setup requests.

Therefore, the maximum score for a single setup is 7 points. This would be an endurance setup that fills a setup request that is uploaded with comments and a best lap time.

Rules

Members of My3id Gaming will not be allowed to participate.

Only setups uploaded to the public setupgrid will count.

Doing any of the following may result in disqualification.

  • Uploading more than one setup per combo/setup type - Example: A user with 50 FZR/AS3 setups will only be allowed to upload one hotlap setup, one endurance setup, one sprint setup etc.
  • Uploading false / innaccurate setups - Trying to inflate your upload rate.
  • Posting requests for more bonus points - Noticeable trends / relationships between any accounts regarding requests and uploads will be monitored.
  • Any other suspicious activity that is deemed to give an unfair advantage.

Our report system will go some way to helping us enforce the rules, but to ensure fair play the top 3 finishers will have all of their uploads scrutinized after the closing date.

How to report rule breaking

There is a small red flag next to each setup which allows you to report it.
